Automatic configuration
The ArexVPN application for Windows is the fastest and easiest way to set up the VPN service on your computer. This tutorial explains how to download, install and sign in to the application. It also shows different ways how you can choose the most suitable server and connect to it. Various settings are explained here as well, including SmartPlay, Connect on Start and more.
The ArexVPN application for Windows uses the OpenVPN protocol by default. This versatile protocol supports a great number of strong encryption algorithms and ciphers. To ensure the protection of your data, we use AES-256-CBC with a 2048-bit DH key.
All the necessary configurations are set up by default in the ArexVPN application, so you can install and run it right away. That said, the application also provides plenty of flexibility to match your individual needs.
Manual configuration
If you want to have more control over the VPN configuration process, you can set up the chosen security protocol manually. However, please note that some of the protocols are not recommended for general use.
OpenVPN
If you choose to set up the OpenVPN protocol manually, you can do it by using the OpenVPN GUI open-source software. This tutorial will walk you through the required steps.
The IKEv2/IPsec protocol significantly increases security and privacy by employing very strong cryptographic algorithms and keys, so it’s the best choice for the most security-minded. You can set it up on your Windows 10 computer by following the guidelines provided in the IKEv2/IPsec tutorial.
